There are over 32,000 known species of fish in the world. Out of them, almost 27,000 species include bony fish.970 species out of the remaining include rays, skate and sharks which come under the category of cartilaginous fish.
Plated skinned fish are present in between these two with a total number of 1,200 species. This leaves us with only a handful of jawless fish that are present on the earth today.
